About and around curating: thrill in movement, Mikser 2013 - selected candidates of visual programme

The results of Open call for participation About and around curating: thrill in movement Mikser festival 2013. for curators and curatorial associates

In cooperation with project and platform Kustosiranje / About and around curating, Mikser organisation and festival made an Open call for realisation of visual artistic programme of Mikser festival 2013. With the programme titled About and around curating: thrill in movement, Mikser festival and About and around curating are creating an open space for young creative actors, students and professionals from art and culture fields. Open call  was opened from 18.04. till 16.04. for curators and curatorial associates. The exhbition projects will be presented publically at Mikser festival from 28th May till 2nd June 2013.

The selection of candidates was made by professional jury consisted of: Andrej Bereta, curator and art historian; co-author of project Kustosiranje / About and around curating, Srđan Tunić, curator and art historian; co-author of project Kustosiranje / About and around curating, Miroslav Karić, curator and art historian; Independent artistic association REMONT, Maja Lalić, architect, Mikser organisation.

The group of six teams of visual artistic programme of festival Mikser 2013 was formed, consisting each of an artist (selected by authors of About and around curating), a curator and a curatorial associate/documentary:

TEAM 3

Artist: Bojana Andrić, director of photography

Curator: Kristina Grebenar, art history student

Curatorial associate/documentary: Anđela Milinković, art history student

TEAM 4

Artist: Vuk Ćuk, applied arts student

Curator: Vladimir Bjeličić, art historian

Curatorial associate/documentary: Gordana Tatić, art historian

TEAM 5

Artist: Luka Tripković, sculpture/fine arts student

Curator: Viktorija Kamilić, art historian, curator, MA history of architecture

Curatorial associate/documentary: Tijana Zebić, art history student

Artist: Nemanja Čađo, visual artist

Curator: Srđan Tunić, art historian, freelance curator

Curatorial associate/documentary: Anđela Milinković, art history student

All six teams will be developing mutual idea and concept of new artistic work and exhibition setting, which will be realised on trucks, as part of Savamala city district. For more info on the process of realisation and artist-curator relation, curatorial associates will be in charge, by making a online public diary of each exhibition project on Mikser website, till the begining of festival Mikser 2013.
